Orienter la prière vers les musulmans du Maroc
Dimanche des Rameaux, le 08 avril 2001, au Maroc, Afrique du Nord, l’auteur-compositeur Graham Kendrick entraînera des centaines de fidèles internationaux à un rassemblement extraordinaire sans précédent de culte et de prière. L'événement est appelé «La recherche de Dieu - Un appel pour que la bénédiction au Maroc".
«C'est une semaine de prière préparé pour le Royaume du Maroc", a déclaré le révérend John Gooch, pasteur de l'église anglicane St. John's à Casablanca, au Maroc, une des nombreuses Eglises qui travaillent ensemble sur cet événement. «Nous arrivons ensemble pour demander à Dieu de bénir le peuple marocain, son nouveau roi, Mohamed VI et le pays dans son ensemble."
Bien que le Maroc est un pays dont la culture et la foi religieuse sont profondément enracinées dans l'Islam, le Maroc a longtemps cherché à promouvoir la compréhension entre les croyances religieuses. L'événement est organisé par les églises des ressortissants étrangers au Maroc.
"C'est un moment d'intercession pour un peuple que Dieu aime profondément, a déclaré Gabe McReynolds, un croyant qui vit au Maroc. «Nous désirons vraiment bénir cette nation et son peuple à travers la prière et de culte."
Cet événement a un énorme potentiel pour bâtir des ponts de compréhension entre musulmans et chrétiens, disent des organisateurs.
Faire un appel à des groupes de gens des nations occidentales pour venir au Maroc – 1 au 8 avril. L'événement se compose de deux journées d'orientation à Casablanca, un voyage de trois jours de prière dans tout le pays et trois jours de culte, de prière et de célébration avec Kendrick pour finir le Dimanche des Rameaux.

Prayer Focuses on Muslim Morocco
On Palm Sunday, April 8, 2001, in Morocco, North Africa, songwriter Graham Kendrick will lead hundreds of international believers in an unprecedented special gathering of worship and prayer. The event is called "Seeking God--A Call for Blessing in Morocco."
"This is a week of prayer designed to focus on the kingdom of Morocco," said the Rev. John Gooch, pastor of St. John's Anglican Church in Casablanca, Morocco, one of the many churches working together on this event. "We are coming together to ask God to bless the Moroccan people, her new king, Mohamed VI, and the country as a whole."
Although Morocco is a country whose culture and religious faith are deeply rooted in Islam, Morocco has long sought to promote understanding among religious beliefs. The event is being organized by the expatriate churches in Morocco.
"This is an intercessory time for a nation God deeply loves," said Gabe McReynolds, a believer who lives in Morocco. "We truly desire to bless this nation and her people by means of prayer and worship."
This event has tremendous potential to build bridges of understanding between Muslims and Christians, organizers say.
A call is going out for teams of people from across the Western nations to come to Morocco April 1-8. The event consists of two days of orientation in Casablanca, a three-day prayer journey throughout the country and three days of worship, prayer and celebration with Kendrick concluding on Palm Sunday, April 8.
